Fresh Cut Freshies

Tis the season to be merry.  It’s also the season for face shots, fresh tracks, and jib burgers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Am I leaving something out?  Oh yes, it’s also the season to go Christmas tree hunting in the forest.  With this winter taking it’s sweet time and Christmas fast approaching, I decided to kill two birds with one snowball.  So the lady and I headed north.  After a 40 minute hike or so we came upon the chosen tree.  The tree had probably thought to himself, “I’m so misshaped, sparse, and contorted that I’ll never have to worry about becoming a victim to Christmas.”  Little, did he know that’s exactly what we were after.  After we strapped the tree to my back it was time for some first rate tree skiing.  The snow was lighter than the Olsen twins in outer space.  Kids, don’t try this at home.  Skiing with a 24″ bow saw and a Ponderosa strapped to your back while carving up the hill should only be done by non-expert novices who are experienced in such shenanigans.  All in all a great day with my girl.  Not to mention my first turns and face shots of the year.  Tis the season.
